Mermaid from Clouds

My entry into Stumpyfongo's current challenge to create an illustration inspired by what we see in a cloud.

I originally did three thumbnails of different cloud photos that all ended up being very mermaid-like, and my community voted on which to move forward on. This piece is the result of 3 hours of work on stream to create a full illustration.

I am extremely pleased with the color palette and the feeling of atmosphere in the piece. I feel I am defining a solid system of coloring.
